Hello, I’m Carmen Stevens, a Dutchie who called the lush greens of Singapore home for the past 6 years. I\u2019ve recently relocated to the Netherlands and have now started my new studio in Haarlem. Full of gratitude for everything Singapore has brought me, I carry my international experience and global perspective with me as I continue my work in colour and styling in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a ‘slasher’: a personal development coach, trainer, and colour stylist. I love wearing these roles because I help people bring out their true potential and confidence.<\/p>\n

But, my wardrobe and I didn\u2019t always get along… For years, I often felt like I had ‘nothing to wear’, even though my wardrobe was full. I wasn\u2019t afraid of colour, but I was all over the place – getting pieces that caught my eye, only to feel guilty later when they just didn\u2019t work. Putting outfits together was not easy, and I\u2019d spend money on clothes that ended up on a pile in my wardrobe…<\/p>\n

Then, by chance, I got my personal colour analysis done. A game-changer. What a difference these colours made to my face..! Some colours made me look tired, washed out, or even older, while others instantly brightened my face, making me look fresh, awake and even happier. For the first time, I really understood why my wardrobe felt disconnected. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a revelation: colour is about more than what looks pretty – it\u2019s about how it makes you feel and how can transform even the way others see you.<\/p>\n

This newfound clarity was life-changing. Suddenly, shopping became easier, combinations came naturally, and my wardrobe started to feel like a place of joy instead of frustration. The difference was so impactful that I couldn\u2019t keep it to myself. I knew I wanted to learn everything I could about colour – and share that knowledge to help others transform their wardrobes too.<\/p>\n

So, I dived deep into professional training in colour analysis, personal styling, and body type analysis. Because, colour is just the beginning. Now, I combine these skills to help others feel confident, authentic, and radiant. It\u2019s not just about creating a wardrobe that works – it\u2019s about creating a wardrobe that feels like YOU.<\/p>\n

I am thoroughly trained in a 18-seasonal colour system. It is based on the four main seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter), with 14 additional subseasons for more precision. This system is similar to the 12 seasonal colour system, and was developed by Hi Style, a renowned and innovative colour institute in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beforehand I thought I actually knew what looks good on me, but this workshop showed me what makes me sparkle. Insightful and some surprising conclusions and colours. Carmen takes the time for a thorough, professional profile analysis. The colour fan is very handy. It’s so fun to do, also with a friend!<\/p>\n

With Carmen’s advice I look differently at the clothes I have in my closet and the things I’m thinking of buying. Plus, I feel braver in trying new colours and combinations in clothes, make-up and jewellery.<\/span><\/p>\n
